Pierson's first Thanksgiving appears to have been a success. This holiday is a little bit more meaningful than before. We are so very thankful to have Pierson in our lives. He brings so much joy, and it truly makes me wonder what we did before him. On a lighter note..what the heck did I do with all my free time before a child? I can barely find the time to throw a load of clothes in. I have got to get better at this multi-tasking thing! Back on subject.....
We celebrated the holiday with Jeremy's family the Sunday before. The food was delicious. He spent a little time with his cousins Taylor & Tori. Little Tori was born in February, and is so sweet. Pierson weights about 5 pounds more than her...which classifies him as a giant. I had to throw in a pic of his tushy...its so cute!!
As always, P enjoyed being held by his JoJo. Jeremy gladly handed him off to her after tossing him around in the air. Surprisingly he did not spit up all over her; but the good thing is that she wouldn't have cared. You have to watch that JoJo sometimes. She will take that baby in a heartbeat, and I might not ever see him again...lol. Jo is seriously one of the sweetest women I have ever come across, and I am very lucky to have her as a mother-in-law.
Here is the after pic of being thrown in the air!
Here is P in a pic with Grandma (seriously one of the prettiest ladies ever).
We spent Thanksgiving day at Dot Dot and Big Dave's house. We had a house full, and as usual it was a good time. Fittingly, he had his first taste of sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving day. He didn't spit them back at me, so I assume that means he enjoyed them. I keep telling everyone I could put ANYTHING in front of his face and he would eat it. I sure hope it stays that way.
Pierson sure enjoyed being held by his Meme. There are no words to describe how special she is. She is such an incredible grandmother. Her and my Papaw, who passed away several years ago, set a great example of how a marriage should be. Ah, I miss him! However, on a lighter note, this woman has more friends that anyone I know. She definitely has more of a social life than I do. HEHE
Two peas in a pod....Mark and Jeremy. They don't know when to quit "pestering" people!!
Master P and cousin Michelle!
This little dude passed out in Big Dave's arms. He was DONE for the day! Big Dave was a bit of a baby hog so I don't think he minded one bit.
Cute pic of them (Mom says the pic makes her look big...seriously we all know that is not the case)
Family pic (not the best, but it will have to do for now)

5 Months
Pierson is definitely beginning to get a personality. He "talks" so loud and has started to get mad if you are in the room and not giving him any attention. We don't go to the doc for a few more weeks, but my baby boy is getting so big. I would guesstimate that he is at least 20 pounds...but I could be wrong. He has began rocking back and forth and will be crawling in NO TIME. He had his first taste of green beans. He seems to enjoy them, and only gave us a few of "those" faces when eating them. Bananas is the next food of choice. I am hoping that it goes well.
Master P finds great joy in holding his own bottle, pulling it in and out of his mouth, and proceeding to drink it as quickly as possible (Side note...the below pic makes his head look funky..but its not)
This last week there was two days in a row, where my child proceeded to scream the entire way home from Auntie Steph's. But, as soon as I pull into the garage and pick him up, all is well in his little world. Think he is playing games?? While in the car, I just turned the music up. Some might classify that as being a bad mother....but it don't. :) The new name for the month is "Mud Butt." It fits well, but I will keep the details under wraps, so he doesn't get too angry with me when he is older.
Jeremy and I are working on getting all of the "crap" upstairs into the game-room, so we can dirty that portion of the house, and not the downstairs. The downstairs of our house is seriously a sight for sore eyes. It makes me crazy, but when I get home from work everyday...the last thing I feel like doing is cleaning. So it will just have to stay for now :)
Pierson stayed his first night away from his mommy and daddy, and did not miss us one bit! However Dot Dot and Big Dave had a busy weekend since they had Adisyn the next night. What do parents do while their children are away? We proceeded to get into bed at 8:30, and not think twice about it!!
Here is our little man with his famous monthly pose. Again...he looks thrilled to be there, but he does love Sophie (Thank you Robin for that one)
Poor Tank and Freedom (you know the dogs I used to speak of so much), they just don't quite receive the attention they used to. Freedom could actually careless about Pierson, but Tank is very interested, and Mud Butt has began to have that same affection.

Halloween 2011
Halloween was rather uneventful this year. However, I did take the opportunity to dress my child up as a puppy. But first, lets rewind a bit. A couple weeks before Halloween, my neighbor Katie and I went to a consignment sale at our church and I found this dog costume for a whopping $8 or $9 dollars. I figured...what the heck it will be cute. I didn't really look too much at it. When I got it home, Jeremy was the first to point out that the dog's bone was in a rather unusual place as seen below.
We also went to Mansfield one day and dressed the little dude up for a pic with Dot Dot and Big Dave
Isn't my little puppy cute?? We went outside for a bit and passed out candy to all the neighborhood kids, and then called it a night around 7:30. There was some interesting costumes, and I def loved how some parents chose to walk around with a cold beverage in hand. I am certain that will be me in a few years. Our front door is pretty much all glass, so I had the clever idea to put up a blanket over it so nobody would ring the doorbell. That worked for about 2.63 seconds. Here are a couple pics from the night.
