Words

Pierson's vocabulary is continuing to explode by the day.  A few of the words he is saying now (this is so I don't forget).  Sorry to bore any of my...I don't know, any of the three readers that I have.

Adisee --a/k/a Adisyn.  It is better than him calling her "ass" as he used to.
Firefightee---a/k/a firefighter
House
Mouse
Car
Mama/Daddy /Mama/Daddy --over and over and over and over again  :)
Outside
Hot--anytime we are in the kitchen and he sees food it is "hot"
Dot Dot
Erc a/k/a Eric
Yeah
Hey
Bye Bye
No No--over and over and over and over again as well
Night Night
Apple
Baby
Sissy
Papaw
Moo---a/k/a Cow
Nah---a/k/a Horse
Buzz
Me Me---I assume this means Mine
Eyes--whenever the sun is in his eyes he gets so mad and covers his eyes up
Ears
Nose
Mouth
Knee
Elbow

On another note..my sweet sweet (most of the time) boy has no idea that his world is about to be turned upside down this week when he gets a new sister.  I will admit that I feel bad for him...WHY??  He will gain a new playmate and someone else to torture mommy and daddy with!!  (all cell phone pics)

Pierson has enjoyed testing out "sissy's things....

Cousin Adisyn came over a couple weekends ago to hang out with Pierson while Eric and Alicia went to look for houses.  Having a four year old over was a glimpse into our future.  She would tell me what I could color, what colors I could use, and she asked about 537 questions.  So funny.

On a slightly different note, why did my child feel the need to look at this page in the book and say "ho ho".  If you notice the blonde is sliding down a pole.  I am in no way implying that this statement is true...but I just find humor in it.

My boy has a rough week or so.  Last Sunday right after church and lunch he started to feel bad.  On Monday night we took him to Acute Kids because his doctor's office wasn't open and my poor boy was diagnosed with Type B Flu and a slight ear infection (first one).  Apparently Tamiflu is like gold, but we were lucky enough to find some on Tuesday morning.  He went to school on Thursday and did fine and then Friday he woke up with another 102 or 103 fever.  Jeremy took him to the doctor and they said his ear infection was so bad it was "this close" to bursting.  Poor kiddo, we would have never known since he wasn't tugging at it.  You might remember from previous posts that generally all antibiotics that he takes are not good on his tush.  So...he got a shot on Friday, one on Saturday and his last one today.  Doc says if this doesn't clear it up he will have to have tubes.  Interesting because this was his first one, but doc says it only takes one sometimes, and this one is baaaddd apparently.

Also, having the flu does not prevent one from going to time out....

Final Christmas Get Together

We were originally supposed to do Christmas with my side of the family a couple weeks before, and it didn't work out.  So...we changed the plans and had it the Thursday after Christmas this year over at my brother's house.  Everyone took it easy, and we ordered in Babe's Chicken for lunch.  Yummy!!!  There were sooo many presents.  However, we couldn't open presents until Adisyn told us who's turn it was.....but for some odd reason she was allowed to open all of her presents first - - Ha!

The below picture is not good...but I promise not two seconds before I snapped this picture they were both looking AND smiling.

Dot Dot loved her coffee mug that Adisyn made.

This t-shirt suits him perfectly!!

......and this book

Adisyn kept trying to get Pierson to lay in the bed with her so she could cover him up.  I think he actually stayed in place for 3.2 seconds.

A couple weeks before Christmas Uncle Eric brought this HUGE teddy bear over (he got sick of it being at his house) and Pierson loves it.  "Teddy" proudly sits in the little dudes room.

It was strange not doing our actual Christmas celebration at my parent's house this year.  However, we had a good time.  Christmas is definently different when you have children, but so much more fun.  We hope to be able to teach little P the true meaning of Christmas as he gets older!!

Christmas Day 2012

Christmas morning after little P man woke up he was so excited to see what Santa brought him....or should I say mommy and daddy were more excited to see his face?  Of course, he doesn't understand Santa, but Jeremy and I had fun with it.  We really didn't get him tons of stuff...lets face it...what does a 18-19 month old need.  The boy has so much stuff it is ridiculous, and we knew he would get so many things from other generous family members.  When we first brought him downstairs he was much more interested in drinking his milk...shocker!  But...after a minute or so he was looking at everything and would say "wow".  It was definitely cute!

I might add that we purchased a new 9' Christmas tree this year.  The one we had previously was to wide, and I wanted a taller, skinnier tree.  We do love the tree, although Jeremy didn't love the price tag.  I played the "we will have it for years and years to come" card.  I guess it worked.  It can be a 9', 7' or 5' tree which is pretty cool.  However I never found a tree topper that I liked, so that was missing.  Also...sadly I didn't put up half of our ornaments and other decorations because of the wild child I have :).   Maybe next year...or maybe not??  After all I will have a 12 month old on my hands.  Actually, Pierson really did pretty good with the tree this year, and didn't bother it too much.  I tried to put kid friendly ornaments near the bottom.

And yes...I was the mother who never bought her child Christmas pajamas.  Don't judge...time slipped away from me.

Helping daddy open one of his gifts.

There are a few pictures of me.  But, like I said in the previous post, I literally look like a boat.  So...I will make a better effort to put pics of me up after I have this baby...maybe!  I don't want to scare people away from the blog.

Santa brought Pierson some new cars (thank you Santa for adding to the collection), a race track, an"airmay", a "big rig", new toothbrushes, a slinky and many other things in his stocking!  Daddy got some weird tool box thingy for the back of his truck, a garage fan, and a new good read titled "Everybody Poops 410 Pounds A Year".  Momma got a massage and a Citizen watch!!

After we spent time as a family of three, we headed up to Sanger to JoJo's and Papaw's for Christmas with Jeremy's family.  Pierson had so much fun.  JoJo and Papaw gave him money for his college fund (perfect!!) along with some other goodies.  He also got some fun new blocks and a little fire house that he is really enjoying playing with.  Although it has a ladder that comes apart, and it frustrates him so bad when he can't put it back together.  JoJo and Papaw made corn fritters which were enjoyed by all.

Hanging out with cousin Lexi
Enjoying a good read.

While up in Sanger in began snowing, and the wind was blowing so hard that the snow was coming in sideways.  Jeremy went outside with P for a little while, and he didn't seem to mind the snow at all.  Momma chose to watch from a distance!  I was a little nervous driving home but Jeremy used the ole' four wheel drive, and we got home safely.  We got a few inches of snow up in this part of the metroplex and P enjoyed saying "snow" over and over again.

The below pic shows just how tired little P man was.  He had a fun day (with no nap) and fell right to sleep on the way home.
