A Little of This and That

A few days ago while driving home from Mansfield the little man was beginning to make some noise. So what do I do...i reach back to grab the pacifier, but instead i grabbed a pacifier that was full of poo. Yes..I said Poo. My little cutie decided that it would be fun to explode, and i mean explode in his diaper. This will def go down as a winner as it clearly outweighs any other explosions he has had. At that point I determined it would be best to be a "good" mommy and I pulled over and changed the little dude. Seriously....the boy and the car seat was covered in poo. We decided to go "white trash style" on the way home as you can see from the below pic.

Our neighborhood had a fall festival. We hung out with some of our friends and Pierson received his first kiss (with tongue I might add) from Scarlett.

We had a decent size storm blow through. The winds were crazy. The result of the storm is seen below. However, my handy-man husband gave it a temporary fix right away.

We...or should I say Jeremy has started the "baby proofing" of the house. One good thing is that we don't have to buy plug covers, since they are already baby proofed. Thank you to our home builder for that one. We have gates up at the top and bottom of the stairs, and are still searching for the perfect retractable gate for a portion of our downstairs. Seriously..it won't surprise us if he starts to crawl in the next few weeks. He currently gets up on all fours and digs his head into the ground and just moves himself forward. I like to think that my child is advanced :)

Pierson continues to LOVE his oatmeal and gets better at using the spoon everyday. He is starting to get some chunk to him...but it is pretty cute. Did i mention that my baby is the cutest. Until next time......

4 Months

Pierson has been doing so many new things lately. He rolls over constantly. It is pointless to put him down on a blanket...you turn around and the next minute he has rolled completely off of it. Shhh...don't tell Jeremy but Pierson was on the floor in the living room today. I literally ran to take a load out of the washer or dryer, and I came back...and P was "this close" to our stone fireplace. That def goes down as a smart move on my part. I truly have never seen a child love to eat as much as him. He recognizes the bottle now, and holds it pretty well by himself, and literally gets the "shakes" because he is so excited to eat. P gets so mad when the bottle is all gone. He "talks" non-stop. I sure wonder what he is thinking sometimes :)
Check out the happiness during his 4 month pic!!

We have been lucky enough to have one of our very good friends, Stephanie, aka Boo, aka Auntie Stephy watch Pierson for us Monday through Thursday (J is off on Fridays). Pierson loves her and loves watching Emily, her little girl. He might have the hots for her. Anyhow, she seems to put up with my random texts and calls throughout the day asking for pics and videos of my cute little man. Seriously...he is one of the cutest kids I know. Here are a couple of pics she has sent me (Some are a few months old)

Pierson was four months on October 3. We went to his appointment on the 7th and our little man is doing well. He is 25 3/4 long (77%), 15 lbs 8 1/2 oz (61%). His head is 17 1/4 (86%). Dr. Schwartz gave us the "green light" to go ahead and try rice cereal, oatmeal, etc. We really like Dr. Schwartz. He might be one of the smartest people I have come across. He seems to know everything...not just about babies, but random facts. Sorry I got a bit off subject.
Here is Pierson getting weighed in at his appointment, and a pic with daddy while waiting on his shots.

Dr. Schwartz prefers we use brown rice on the cereal. He explained that their are new studies showing that the white rice, which has lots of starch and sugar is one of the reasons kids love sugar. I mean who really knows, but I guess it is worth a shot. Here is our little dude enjoying his first taste of oatmeal. He loves it..which I hope is a sign that he won't be too picky; but i won't keep my fingers crossed on that one. Again, he gets soooo mad when we take the spoon out of his mouth. Jeremy had to hold his arms down so I could actually feed him.

Pierson loves the exersaucer, and I think mommy and daddy do as well. It keeps him fairly occupied for awhile.
