15 Months

Little P was 15 months on September 3rd.  This post is a little late...but that is just how it goes sometimes!.  We went to his doctor visit the following week so he could get all of his "fun" shots.  Dr. Schwartz basically said that P has the body of a two year old and the head of a four year old...lol.  He again made the comment "have you had to go to the ER, get stitches, etc. yet"?  Thankfully we were able to say no, but he states that he sees that in our future.  Pierson was climbing on top of the table, spinning around in the dr's chair as well as trying to escape the room.  We both had to hold him down while he got his shots.  I proceeded to give him a dum dum after it was over, and that made everything okay in his world again (same as the haircut).  He weighed 29 pounds 4 oz (94%), he was 34" tall (99%), and he has a 20" head (99%).  Jeremy blames the size of his head on me.  I really think it is just all the hair I have...but whatever.

The boy has a big, fat foot.  He is wearing a size 7, and I feel like he is on the verge of growing out of that size.  Lord help me.  He continues to talk A LOT.  He says momma, daddy, dog (all the time), tanks (for thanks), elma (for Elmo), cracka (cracker), ba dog (bad dog)  and I am pretty sure he is saying more.  He talks non stop everyday all day.  I just wish I knew more of what he was trying to say.  He still gets SOOO sad when we tell him "no".  I think its about time to start time out for him.  However, I just don't see this kiddo sitting still.

In the last couple of weeks, he has really started to get sad whenever Jeremy or I leave him.  It breaks my heart, but from what I understand he gets over it pretty fast.  I have a Samsung tablet, and Pierson has really taken a love to that lately.  He enjoys watching videos.  I figure...it gives me a few minutes to sit on my rear end and do NOTHING.

He continues to be a pretty good eater, and has taken an extreme love to watermelon lately.  He wants to hold it himself and has not figured out that you can't eat the green part yet.  He gets mad, like really angry whenever we take it away from him.  He loves to have crackers, or a snack or whatever in a cup with no lid.  He thinks that is so fun and he walks around the house eating his crackers.  Tank and Freedom continue to follow him around the house everywhere he goes in the hopes that he will drop food.  It literally drives me crazy.  Have I mentioned that sadly, the dogs are DRIVING ME NUTS.  Things for sure change when kiddos come into the picture.  I keep threatening that I am going to find them a good home, but Pierson absolutely loves these dogs.  Tank will let Pierson climb, crawl, stand or whatever all over him, and Freedom continues to run for the hills whenever P comes after him.  As stated above I find it very humerous when he goes over to the dogs and says "ba dog".  Good or bad...he learned it from his momma :).

One of my favorite parts of the day is when we tell Pierson it is time to pray.  We all go into his room, sit on the floor.  Pierson will put his hands together, and then just stares at me while I pray.  After we say "amen", he will start clapping and smiling...so so so so so cute.  I told Jeremy we need to video tape it so we can look back on it.

It was promotion Sunday a couple weeks ago at church.  My boy went into the 12-15 month class, and I took one look in the room and decided that we needed to move him up a class.  Not that my child is advanced, but he literally towered over all of the kids.  He is doing well in the next class up, but he is still bigger than everyone :(.

The only pictures I have taken have been from my phone.  I tend to always have my camera with me, but never take pictures??
We have had a great month with out little (big) man, and we are having so much fun watching him grow, and learn to do new things!!  I've said it before, but he is such a sweet kiddo, but he keeps us very BUSY.
Here are numerous "randoms" from the past month or so....

Labor Day Weekend 2012

We had a busy, fun, low key weekend.  I took off on Friday, so P, J and I headed to Mansfield for the night to hang out with Dot Dot and Big Dave.  Jeremy headed off to the Mansfield Library for the day to study for a promotion test at the end of the year, and P and I hung out with Dot Dot.  First order of business was a haircut.  He really did pretty good.  My cousin has cut his hair before, but this was his first time going to an actual salon.  It was pretty funny to watch him eat his sucker, but also quite disgusting at the same time because his hair would fall on the sucker, and he would continue sucking.  Oh well...whatever works.  He dropped a couple, so we just kept giving them to him so he would sit still.  When P's hair grows out it has some curl to it, and it is so thick.  Looks like he is gonna have his momma's hair.  He looked like such a big boy after all was said and done!

After the haircut we headed off to Target to look for a broom Pierson's size, but no such luck.  The boy loves brooms (as seen in the previous post).  This might be one of the only times I have ever left Target without buying one thing.  Success.

Little pic of the back of his hair (So cute!!)

Later on in the day Shana and her girls came over to hang out.  They know exactly where the toys are when they come over, so they went to drag out a tea set, so Jordan could serve everyone along with the doll stroller that I had as a kid.  Pierson thought it would be fun to get in.  The picture does not do it justice, but it was soooo funny watching Pierson try to get in and out of it.

Puzzles and reading with Dot Dot (side note--her feet only look huge in this pic)

Indoor swimming with Haley and Jordan

Pierson is at the age that is he is into everything, so we literally put up all kinds of barricades at my mom's house to try and keep him in the family room.  That doesn't bother P, he will just climb over the back of the couch now...ugh.  That evening we went out to eat, and I think Pierson ate non stop the entire time we were at Texas Roadhouse, which I am going to assume is the reason he did not eat much the next morning.  He usually does pretty good at restaurants because there is so much for him to watch.

We left their house around 11 am, and Pierson was asleep before we even left the neighborhood.  He was so busy the entire time we were there, and completely destroyed my parents house in a matter of seconds.  Knowing my mother, it was probably clean by 1115.  We lounged around the house for the rest of the day on Saturday.

Jeremy's family came over on Sunday and we just had pizza and salad for everyone.  Pierson had fun with his JoJo and Papaw and his cousins.  The only cousin missing was Lexi  :(
Sweet Lili (5 months)
Pierson, Celina and Lili
We completed the weekend with Pierson enjoying some Watermelon, which he became furious at us when we took it away. We also headed over to my brothers to give my niece Adisyn (who turned 4 on September 1) her birthday present.  Busy, but fun weekend!!

Child for Hire

If anyone is interested I have a 15 month old child who will clean your house.  We are trying to "grow" his college fund.  Pierson LOVES mops, brooms, vacuums, etc.  All of it.  We have all of these things (besides the vacuum) hanging in the garage, and he gets so mad every time we walk by them on our way into the house.  Ah...if only he would love to "clean" when he gets older.  I am going to go ahead and assume the answer to that one is NO!!
