Hallie - 2 Months

Our little diva was two months on March 23.  She is really starting to smile more...and not just when she has gas!!  Our good friend Stephanie who kept Pierson for his first year is watching her, and my mom is keeping her on Wednesdays.  Stephanie might go back to teaching in the fall, so we will just play it by ear.  Also, a big thanks to Dot Dot for driving to Little Elm every Wednesday morning to watch her.  It is such a HUGE help.  Plus, she does laundry and cooks!!!

Jeremy took her to the doctor and she is still a little one!  She weighed 9 pounds, 13 oz (24%), she was 21 3/4" (27%) and her head was 15" (34%).  She is in a size one diaper and still has such tiny feet.  I don't think Pierson's feet were ever that small.  She still has a good amount of hair and she proudly displays a mohawk every day.  Sadly, the photos don't really show off her crazy hair.  She is still sleeping in the pack and play in our bathroom--ha!.  It works for now.  I would move her upstairs, but I am afraid she will wake P up if she wakes up, and I might possibly be too lazy to go up and down the stairs??  P was up in his room when he was three weeks, but times have changed  : )

It is hard to believe she has already been here 9 weeks.  Things are definitely different with the second child....not in a bad way, just different.  Hallie looks JUST like her daddy.  Actually both of my kids look like their daddy.  Slowly but surely I am figuring out how to handle two kids.  For those parents out there that have more than two kids...HOW DO YOU DO IT??

We love you sweet Hallie, and are so glad that God chose us to be your parents.  We can't wait to watch you grow!!

Wild Child a/k/a Pierson

My boy can still throw some major fits.  Please, somebody tell me this is normal for a toddler boy???  I am starting to wonder if it is my parenting skills or the fact that we have a little toot on our hands.  Don't get me wrong, he usually is a sweet little boy, but he is making me want to bang my head on a wall lately..maybe!

Pierson has handled the adjustment of having a little sister OK.  Some days he is jealous and other days he isn't.  However, I do believe he has hit the terrible twos early.  Lord help us!!!  He continues to talk up a storm, and it truly amazes me how much he can say.  He calls Hallie "sissy" but will sometimes say her actual name.  It is pretty cute.  He will give her kisses or hugs, etc.  But...when one of us picks her up to feed her, etc, he immediately wants to sit in our lap as well.  If her leg touches his he will say "uh...or owie".  I can only imagine how joyful it will be when she is crawling and/or walking and getting into all of his toys.  Also, I think my mother taught him "ready, set, go"....so now we say that with everything!!

A few weeks ago Pierson decided it was time to climb out of his crib.  Between midnight and 1 am, Jeremy heard something, so he walked out of the bedroom to look up at the top of the stairs,  and Pierson saying "daddy, daddy".  For the first time in his life we brought him into our bed to sleep (don't judge).  I didn't want to deal with it that night.  So, the next day I made a run to Wal-Mart and purchased the below side railing, because the railing that comes with the crib is not very long.  I am pretty sure he would just roll right out every night without the extra railing.  We still left him plenty of space to get in and out of the bed.  We put up a tall gate at his door as well.  To my surprise, he has done good with the transition.  When we moved Pierson's room (I think back in December) we did it in a firefighter theme, and we actually just finished it in the last couple of days.  I know sad.  Again...don't judge.  The wall is actually a grey color, but you can't tell in the pictures.

After I picked P up from school that day, we went to the store, and I let him pick out some sheets and he chose cars.  Obviously that doesn't go with the theme, but I will get him different sheets when we move him into the firefighter bed that we got him...FOR FREE, I might add.

I took the above pic of him sleeping in the bed to text to Jeremy one day.  This is just proof that he can do it...YEAH!!

On a different note...when I pick P up from school, there are a couple of other kids that will run over to me as well to check out the baby, check out my flip flops or whatever beautiful outfits I have been wearing on maternity leave - ha, and Pierson will proudly hold up his hand, point his finger at them and say "my mommy".  Really..it starts this early??  Pierson has started whining more, which we are trying to work on.  Some of the words that come out of his mouth sound like Chinese maybe??  I just don't understand and I will say "show mommy what it is your talking about", or "show mommy what it is your wanting".  So now whenever he wants something he will grab our hands and say "show mommy", or "show daddy".  Pretty cute!!

We went to one of his cousin's birthday parties recently at a place called Coo Coo's in Plano, and he had so much fun.  He enjoyed his "cucake", riding on the train and going down the slides.  It was not so easy for momma to go up and down those slides with him.

We have enjoyed this beautiful weather lately by spending some time outside and allowing him to burn off some of the ridiculous energy that he has.

Cousin time in the garage---Fun!

Lunch break at the mall
And some not so fun times  : )
Enjoying time out (a usual occurrence around here right now)

The below pic is probably 5-6 weeks old, but I thought it was too funny not to share.

Also, I find it very sad and funny that whenever I have my hand pump, which actually does come in handy sometimes when trying to chase around a toddler, Pierson will say "my pump, my pump".
He will probably hate me for this when he gets older, but he likes to pretend like he is pumping as well...lol.  This picture doesn't even do it justice.  On a positive note, he does realize that it is "sissy's milk".

I also taught Pierson a few very important things, like holding up his hands and saying "peace", and we will say "too legit, too legit to quit" and he will proudly say "hey hey" at the end.  It is the important things people!!

I am considering putting up all of his toys, with the exception of his Matchbox cars and his trains.  Did I mention that Thomas the Train junk is expensive?  He literally has about 75 cars or so, and he will take approximately 30 of them with him to the bathtub every night.  I need to take some pictures of the playroom because it is what I like to call "redunkulous".  We are about to have a MAJOR clean up session around here.

Hallie-One Month ( A little late)

Hallie was one month on February 23rd.  We ventured out to Dr. Schwartz, and she was a whopping 8 lbs 2 oz (17%). 20 1/4 inches (15%) and her head was 14 1/4 inches (24%).  Basically she is tiny compared to what P was.  Pierson weighed more than that when he was born.  I do believe she has put on some weight, so we will see at her two month check up next week.

This pic is actually from her two week appointment because I forgot to take a pic at the one month.  We are lucky if I can get out of the house without forgetting the kiddos at this point.  Heck..we are even luckier if I use an actual camera instead of my cell phone.  Ha

Hallie might just be the LOUDEST baby I have ever been around.  Whether she is sleeping, eating, pooping, or crying, and then repeating those over and over again.  I tell you what...this little girl knows how to cry.  OH. MY. WORD....when she is mad, she is mad.  Usually every night for about an hour, she enjoys screaming, and nothing makes her happy.

It is funny how much you forget about having a new baby at home.  Making bottles, changing so many diapers, burping, etc.  We are slowly getting into the swing of things.  Here are a few pictures since we have been home!

Pierson will say "hold" which means he wants us to put Sissy in his lap.  It usually lasts for about 4.5 seconds, but it is a start.

We bought a huge Minnie House at Costco before she was born.  I attempted to take some pictures of her one her one month birthday.  She received some assistance from P.

Hallie Newborn Pics

My long time friend Stephanie Parks came to the house and did newborn pics of Hallie.  I think she was 12 days old at the time of the pictures.  She did such a great job.  She was so patient and I think she was here for probably three hours (on Superbowl Sunday).

Probably my favorite of them all!

Of course we captured a couple quick pics of our little man.
