Camp Thurman 2017

Pierson and Hallie spent the week with my parents and got to enjoy Camp Thurman.  It was Hallie's first year to go and it is safe to say that she had so much fun!

Camp hair...

San Diego (Day 5)

We walked down to the Maritime Museum that morning and made a pit stop at the fish market.  I like seafood, but I have to admit seeing some of these fish that were caught just hours earlier was interesting.  Of course, Pierson loved it and the person behind the counter was making faces with the fish.  Ha.

One of the highlights for the trip for Pierson was this old submarine.  He and Jeremy went through it.  I had planned on it, but I was tending to a grumpy 4 year old instead!  P still talks about this submarine.

This boy was OUT on the way home!  Hallie didn't fall asleep until about 20 minutes before we landed.

We had a great time, and it was wonderful to get away with the family.  We are so thankful that my parents joined us for the trip.  Hallie is convinced now that we have to go to "Build-A-Bear Land" since we went to LEGOLAND.  Hallie has never really sat still long enough to be in a stroller, but that would have been great to have on this trip.  I didn't prepare myself for all the walking we would do with a 4 1/2 year old.

San Diego (Day 4)

Morning view from our hotel room

We headed out to the USS Midway Museum and stopped for some breakfast on our way.

We got there right when they opened and it was great timing.  There wasn't a huge crowd just yet.  If you are police, fire, military, etc you get in free.  That worked out well for us :)

There was a flight simulator.  Big Dave and Pierson went together and Jeremy and Hallie went together.  I'm pretty sure Big Dave and Pierson were up side down the majority of the time.  HA.  There was a screen on the outside that showed them and it was so much fun to watch!

We grabbed some lunch at Seaport Village and headed back to the hotel for a night of swimming.

Hallie enjoyed spending time in the "bathtub pool".
