Family Pictures

I have determined that getting family pictures is stressful.  Like really stressful.  I was not a nice person while attempting to get everyone ready that morning.  Stephanie did a great job with the pictures, but I tell you what my cute little 2 1/2 year old made me want to beat my head on a wall that day...multiple times!!  He couldn't even be bribed with candy or a treat, etc.  It didn't make it any easier that the church where we were getting our pictures, let out approximately 3,492 Girl Scouts to do some type of scavenger hut while we were there.  That allowed Pierson to be extremely distracted.  Overall, I was very happy with the pictures, and Stephanie did an excellent job.

It was a nice surprise to see Cristi there as well.  As usual, her cute little family was all put together and looking very fashionable!!

Lol at Hallie and Jeremy's face.....

Shaw Christmas 2013

We had Christmas with my parents this last weekend in Mansfield.  It seems early, but we always have such a busy December, that this worked out best for everyone.  Our plan is to be home on Christmas Day this year...yeah!!  As kids, we were always home on Christmas Day, and I absolutely loved it.  Hopefully we can continue to do that with the kiddos.

I think we are out of room for stockings.  However, it doesn't appear there will be any more grandkids, so I think Dot Dot and Big Dave are good to go....

Here is the princess riding the Toddle Train (sp?) that was mine when I was a kid....

A little craft time with cousin Adisyn. She is good with him, but she makes it known to him that she is older...lol.  Funny thing is she always asks why he does this or that, or messes up stuff, etc.  Um..its because he can't sit still for more than 3 seconds.

Present time....

A perfect example of why my sweet little P is exhausting...  Literally, he NEVER sits still!! P opened up a truck that had two trailers from my parents, and we lost him from there.  I don't think he cared about anything else from that point forward.  The boy is obsessed with trailers.

Uncle Jeremy with Adisyn's iron....

Maybe he will iron??  Ironically, his mother doesn't  : )

There was an attempt to get all three kids to sit together for a picture....

Pierson was somewhat interested at the beginning....

He decided he would rather watch tv....

And pick his nose.....

A big "Thank You" to the best parents in the world for a wonderful Christmas, as always!!  You guys always do so much for everyone else.  Love ya'll.

Thanksgiving 2013

As usual, we had a great Thanksgiving with all of the family.  My parents hosted, and we were lucky enough to have Jeremy's family join us along with my extended family.  I took off the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and we took the kiddos to the Children's Museum in Fort Worth.  My parents have a season pass, so I am sure we will be going back.  They had the Curious George exhibit going on, and P thought that was lots of fun.  Hallie enjoyed herself as well!

Baby girl made a friend while there....

I thought the below pic was cute.  He was pretty much begging Dot Dot to let him touch the animals.  I had already told him "no", so I guess he thought he might get a different answer from her!?!  Side note...I am NOT pregnant..lol.  That little jacket always sticks out....

driving "mom" around.....

P was obsessed with building train tracks.  He was not happy when we made him leave....

P loves playing with his uncles old toys...

I asked him to smile, and this is what I got....

Hallie (not so good of a pic of her) and her great-grandmother....

Papaw, Lili, and Uncle Michael....

Cara gave us an old four wheeler that one of her friends was getting rid of and P loves it.  He even gave Sissy a drive as well.  We put it on the low gear, and he looked at us and said "that's not fast enough", and moved it to the fast speed.  We let him ride on it at Dot Dot and Big Dave's.

When we got home, he continued to drive it all weekend long.  At one point, I was literally chasing him down the street while pushing the stroller.  It also makes for an interesting time, when he just pushes the pedal and doesn't watch where he is driving.  He is getting better, but I think I yelled "stop" "slow down" "pay attention to where you are going", 500 times.

Once again, we are reminded how thankful we should be for what God has given us.  The older I get, the more I realize not to take anything for granted.  I just love my little family!!
