Valentine's Day is.....

a bit cheesy. Yes, I said it! I personally don't need February 14th to tell my husband and Pierson how special they are to me. You get the picture. I did feel pressure, and made a special trip to Target at lunch to purchase my two favorite guys a few goodies, but the best gift was this.....

That would be a t-shirt with the old school Nintendo remote on it, and he loves it. This shirt will likely get some good use. Every time we walk into Target he goes directly to the Men's section to look for t-shirts, and most that are purchased are absolutely ridiculous. That will be a post of its own. Lets just hope Master P doesn't take after his daddy in that category.

Pierson got some new "kicks" and a couple new kinds of baby food that he hadn't tried yet. He was so excited about it :) The shoes are adorable, but just a wee bit too big. They will be perfect in the next couple of months.

I can't leave out the sweet, sweet card that Big Dave sent to me. He is one of the most thoughtful men I know, and his cards are always the best!

A couple weeks back, Jeremy had some beautiful flowers, and a steak dinner for me when I got home form work. The "just because" flowers mean more to me than anything.

8 Months

Pierson is now eight months old and changing everyday. He continues to get busier and busier and gets into EVERYTHING. He has a fascination with doors and has figured out that they open and close...and also gets mad when we do close them. This goes for the dishwasher, pantry door, dryer, etc (you get the picture). I believe that we have kept him from eating Tank and Freedom's food, but he sure thinks its fun to get into it. I caught him today with some in his hands, but I am fairly certain he didn't get any in his mouth!! I moved the dog food and water on top of the kitchen table, and he was still reaching for it. Must be some tasty stuff. Our boy continues to smile ALL THE TIME. We have been so blessed by his happiness, and I hope it continues. I don't know if I have mentioned before, but P also enjoys spitting up :) I get frustrated with it, and finally called the doctor and we are trying out some Prevacid. If it works, it works...if it doesn't it doesn't. I am learning that some children just spit up a lot, and Pierson has officially joined that club. It made me feel even better when we went to pick him up from the nursery at church and the lady says "He spit up a lot. We thought about changing him, but then he just spit up again." Great way to make me feel even better about the situation!!. The ladies in the nursery are super sweet, but I was just frustrated that morning. Reading books has become a favorite of P's. If you remember, I mentioned that he gets mad when you close anything...well that goes for books as well.

Pierson stayed the night with JoJo and Pawpaw and had a blast. When he gets older he will love going out to their house because he will have plenty of room to burn off all of his energy. Jo has an in-home day care and I don't know how she does it. I would go crazy keeping that many kids, and that comment probably makes me sound awful..but its the truth.
I am not sure what he weighs but we will find out in a few weeks when we go for his nine month visit. I'm guessing 23-24 pounds.

Pierson absolutely loves the blue hammer in the below pic. Whenever he is crawling, that is always in one hand. Oh and daddy lets him take it to bed with him. So somtimes we get to hear banging on the walls in the middle of the night...lovely.

P's bottom two teeth have finally broken through the gum. I attempted to get a pic of them.

Pulling the carbon monoxide detector out of the wall has also been a favorite pastime. It is sooooo loud once it is pulled out of the wall, and it does not phase him AT ALL.

Our little man is growing so fast. He wants to walk so badly. He will stand on his own for several seconds and then fall, but his balance is definitely getting better. I have a feeling I am going to have a runner at 9 months. Oh, and mommy and daddy love the smile received after a long day of working. Absolutely makes our day.

All about Papaw

Jeremy's dad retired from the fire department last year. He never really had an official retirement party. Jeremy as well as the guys who worked on Richard's shift had a little get together and presented him with a hat that has pictures airbrushed (I think) on it. It turned out really awesome!
