2 Years of Wedded Bliss

Jeremy and I were married a whopping two years on May 15, 2012.  My hubby proudly came home from work and gave me a giant card (like 12 X 12) as seen below.

Um...this would be a Star Wars Bday Card that makes noise.  Thanks honey!  He seriously thinks it is soo funny, but I guess this is what makes him so special :)  On the front of the card he wrote "To the best wife ever."  lol.  The Saturday after our anniversary P-diddy stayed with my parents and Jeremy and I headed to the Gaylord (no pictures) and relaxed all day.  We went to their new outdoor pool facility called Paradise Springs, or something like that.  It was fun.  We laid by the pool, and most likely I scared everyone because I am so pasty white it is sad...really.  I recommend anyone that has preschool or older kids to take the fam there.  There is a lazy river, slides, etc.  Afterwards we took about a two hour nap, which I am going to assume is just like Heaven.  It was marvelous.  That night we headed over to the Grapevine Arts Festival and Cara and her crew met us over there.  We had a good time.

Mother's Day 2012

My first official Mother's Day was great.  We headed to church on Sunday morning, and our class was really good.  One of the topics of discussion, was, How do you show that Christ is #1 in your life?  Sadly, I don't believe that Jeremy and I do a good job of showing that, and most importantly showing Pierson.  We both agreed that we need to do a better job.  If Pierson has already picked up how to hold a remote up to the tv, and put a phone up to his ear, I think it is time we begin talking more about Jesus and reading more biblical books.  It amazes me how fast children soak everything in.
We went and picked P up from his class, and he had a new bruise on the side of his nose...shocker.  The boy is into EVERYTHING.  While in class, my brilliant child made his momma a gift...sweet boy.  The hubs got me a sweet card (they usually are very random cards..haha) and some flowers.

After church we headed to Uncle Shane's restaurant to enjoy some Mexican food with the family.  A good time was had by all.  I didn't get any pics, but P seems to think he can just do whatever he wants while there.  He walks around and "shows off" to everyone.  Unfortunately, I got no pics of me and my cute little man.  It is soo difficult to get him to still for any longer than 3.2 seconds.  We spent a lot of the day outside in the backyard playing.

The entire family was supposed to head down to the Hyatt Hill Country outside of San Antonio for the weekend.  However, we checked the weather the week we were going, and it was nothing but rain...so we will have to reschedule that soon.  I am blessed that God chose to me to be Pierson's momma.  He is such a sweet natured boy (although I think that may be changing..haha).

Most importantly, I have the best mother anyone could ask for.  She does so much for us and for little P.  Everyone knows that Dot Dot is the ultimate mother.  I also have the best mother-in-law EVER.  Jo has to be one of the sweetest people on the planet...seriously.  She raised her son to be a sweet sweet man, who is the best husband anyone could ask for.

Happy Late B-Day to ME!

My bday was in February and Jeremy got me one of those "rich people closets."  So, at the beginning of May, Closets by Design came out to install the closet and we love it.  We have a decent size closet, but not huge, so this really helped out a lot.  I do believe that this will be my present for the next however many occasions he can think of.  We are still working on organizing everything.  I took some before and after shots.

Sadly, I had already removed a lot of "junk" from the top!
That shelf over to the left was full of my shoes.

I even got a drawer for all my expensive jewelry..hehe.

Cinco de Mayo

Pierson learned how to "party" this year on Cinco de Mayo.  We visited his Uncle Shane's restaurant, Papa Lopez with Jeremy's parents.  He was quite the character while we were there, soaking up all of the attention he could get.  Going out to eat with the little dude is not at the top of my favorite things list, but we manage.  The drink in the below pic, apparently named a Mexican Bulldog was delicious.  Papa Lopez calls it something else, but I can't remember.  Anyhow, I only had one and it was...can we say strong?  Good thing Jeremy drove home..hehe.

P surprisingly enjoyed the lemon..kept wanting more.

I snapped the below pic on the way out.  This might be one of my favorite all time pics.

Jo Jo and Papaw kidnapped Pierson that night, so Jeremy and I went to a Cinco de Mayo party at a neighbor's house, and had a great time.  We skipped church on Sunday,  and went to breakfast at Ihop, and we were able to eat slowly and enjoy our food (ah the joys of kiddos).  We then headed up to Sanger for some of Papaws famous ribs.  We had a fund weekend!

11 Months

I say this every month, but where has the time gone?  Warning (PICTURE OVERLOAD).  I can't believe our little man will be one very soon.  He is a very, very, very, very busy little boy.  P still loves to open and close doors and bang on things, but his new favorite place to be is the pantry.  He enjoys pulling boxes off of the shelves and breaking jars of baby food.  However, it was a jar of some soup that Jeremy bought.  Why in the world would you buy soup for a baby??...just saying.  He loves the fireplace..sigh, and tries to climb in there, and loves to climb up the stairs (of course with one of us behind him).  It does make it easier taking him up there though...instead of carrying him.  Pierson would much rather walk down the sidewalk / street than ride in his stroller.  However, he refuses to hold ones hand, so that makes for an interesting stroll.  Little man quickly grew out of his size 5 shoe and is onto a size 6.  He has been wearing a size 5 diaper for several weeks now.

Pierson is SO lovable these days.  He will hug, and sometimes kiss.  When he gives anybody a hug, he will pat them on the back...so sweet.  The little man will dance on command, and I must say its pretty cute.  He now knows how to get on and off little riding toys by himself, but sometimes gets his foot caught.  I was considering having an "operation get rid of toys day," but Jeremy's aunt graciously provided Pierson with lots of fun toys from her three kiddos.

Jeremy and P made a visit to Dr. Schwartz this week.  P had an upper respiratory infection.  He has just been snotty and had a wet cough, as well as a lovely diaper rash to accompany the other symptoms.  Jeremy texted me while there, and the little dude weights 27.7 pounds.  I am anxious for his one year visit to check his other stats.  Wonder if he will be athletic and make his momma and daddy lots of money?
Tex I received while they were at the doc...funny.

He has four or five teeth on the top now, and still only two on the bottom.  He continues to be a good eater, but I am just trying to find new things to feed him. I don't think he loves pasta because he can't really chew it up that good yet.  He is drinking all Vitamin D milk now.  Momma used her last bag of frozen breast milk this past week.  I did take a picture :)

Here are a few mores pics from his 11th Month

I really am having fun

Loves to swing!!

Pierson LOVES his daddy

I had to make a dreaded trip to Michigan for work from a Sunday afternoon through Wednesday evening.   One would have thought I was gone for months.  I was an emotional wreck when they dropped me off at the airport, and I made Jeremy Skype with me every second we could.  Jeremy did fabulous with him for those days by himself, but I really had no doubts.  I actually think he probably did better than what I could have done.

The below is just an assortment of photos from my cell phone.

Jeremy's grandpa turned 79 (I think).  He always likes to celebrate at Trail Dust, so the entire fam got together.  When Pierson walked in, he immediately either grabbed on to me or his daddy.  We think it was the loud music, because he typically will go to anybody at anytime.  He slowly warmed up the loud music and approached the stage several times to try and climb up.  He made a few trips down the slide with Jeremy as well.

Yes...I am wearing the same outfit as I wore from my last post :)
