Vegas

At the end of October, Jeremy and I went to Vegas with Shana and Ronnie and a couple of their friends.  We had a good time, but I sure missed my babies.  However, I'm not sure they missed us..HA!.  This was really the first time that we had been away from both kiddos for three nights.  We have both been to Vegas before, but not together.  My parents came to our house and kept the kiddos and they had so much fun.  At first mom mentioned that she was going to take the kids to school on Friday and Monday.  Then...Pierson looked at her one time and said "I not go to school".  Guess who won?????.

The first night we were there, we walked what felt like 300 miles just so my hubs could get a Margarita from Margaritaville.  He told me it was $10, but that dang thing cost like $38 bucks.  It was quite tasty.  I shared it with him on our walk back to the hotel.....

Seriously, Vegas is the BEST place to watch people.  I mean, I know we all have our own issues, but the people there are CRAZY.

I took this pic for P....

On Saturday night we went to the PBR, and it was sooo much fun!!  I had never been to a PBR event, and we had a blast.  I had no idea there was so much money at stake for this event....

On the way there, we acted like 15 year olds and sat in the back of the shuttle bus, while some "older" people sat in the front.  I guess making rap videos is not fun for "old" people.....

After the PBR events they had these parties at the MGM and all of the bull riders would come.  Um...people are crazy for these bull riders.  I had no idea it was such a big deal.

On Sunday we just walked around and enjoyed not chasing after kids...  : )
We came across the world finals for the Firefighter Combat challenge.  Jeremy would not take a picture....as I assume it is not cool to pose for a pic in front of other firefighters?!?!  Let me just say there were some huge...like as in muscles....huge firefighters there.  Wowzers.

made out of jelly beans...

It appears that our picture taker (Shana) had a little too much to drink before taking the below pic...

I would have taken many more pictures, but Shana looked at me at one point during the trip and said "who carries a camera?"

We had a good time, but I was ready to get home and see my babies.  Pierson was outside riding his bike and saw us driving down the road and got sooo excited!!  Loved it!!  I picked up the princess when we got home and she looked at me like "who are you?"  Ha.  Love my kids!!

Hallie - 9 Months (a month late)

Sweet Hallie turned 9 months old on October 23rd.  (I'm a little late on this post).  She continues to be such a sweet baby, and we just love her to pieces.  We took her to her 9 month appointment and she was 19 pounds (50%), 27" long (27%) and her head was 17 1/4 (42%).  I looked back at Pierson's states, and he was almost 24 pounds, almost 30 inches, and his head was 19".  Quite a difference!

has her eye on the margarita mix....

side note...i really do clean the bath tub, and this just looks awful  : )

She continues to stand up on her own, and walk around things, but hasn't quite started walking yet.  I was thinking she would walk by 9 1/2 months like bubby did, but I don't think that will happen.  When she crawls, she still refuses to put down her right knee...so funny!!  Pierson continues to be her favorite person on the planet, but she does love her mama!  She gets upset if I leave the room, or don't pick her up.  Her eyes are still blue as ever....just like her daddy!

We usually spend the majority of our evenings upstairs.  It is where all the 4,235 toys are.  However, she quickly loses interest in her toys if she sees the bathroom door open.  Not sure why...but the child LOVES crawling into the bathroom and checking everything out.  She makes a mad dash for it every single time.

I think its about time we start to by her some girly toys.  The upstairs is still a "sea" of boy toys, and only a few of girly ones.  However, at this age, she is much more interested in what P is playing with.

Hallie has started sticking her face into the carpet when she gets upset, doesn't get her way or is tired.  It is super cute, but also makes me sad at the same time! Probably shouldn't put this on here....but my sweet girl has a big ole' booty.  May sound weird, but that little tush of hers is sooooo cute!!

Sweet girl still doesn't have any teeth.  I assume this means they are going to all come in at once.  This will be joyous I'm sure!  She "talks" a lot and I am pretty certain she said "mama' the other day.  Luckily she hasn't started calling me "mom" yet like her big brother :(.

Baby girl LOVES to eat.  She love puffs, yogurt melts and pretty much anything you put in front of her.  If I give her any veggies, I will mix them in with other stuff...as she does not like eating them by themselves.

She has been on sippy cups for about a month.  The transition was fairly uneventful, and I am happy that I don't have so many bottle parts laying all over the counter.  She doesn't quite understand how to use a straw, but we will get there.  Here in the next couple of months I am going to quit pumping (YEAH!!!!!!!) , and we will see how she does with milk.  I have to say that I will not be sad that I can't carry that dang pump bag with me everywhere I go.  She still gets so excited whenever she sees her milk coming and kind of gets the shakes over it...just like her bubby!

Carrollton Festival at the Switchyard

A couple weekends ago we went to the Carrollton Festival at the Switchyard.  Parking was free...it was free to get in...games were free...you get the point.  The only thing we paid for was food.  I may or may not have had a ginormous turkey leg while we were there.  I was okay with spending money on that since it was from the Carrollton Firefighters Association : ).  JoJo and Papaw met us there, along with Steffany and cousin Lili.  P had a good time playing games....

This game was called "Stomp the Frog".

He also had a blast on the bounce houses, and doing the zip line.  He was tearing up a little as he was coming down the zip line...I think it scared him a little bit!

Sissy and JoJo...

Checking out one of the fire trucks and one of the ambulances that daddy drives....

And one of the SWAT vehicles...(daddy doesn't drive this one...lol).  But the P man could have stayed in this vehicle all day long.  He loved it!

Halloween 2013

Pierson sorta kinda got Halloween this year.  We dressed him up as a construction worker who had overalls that were....um a little short.  We were going to dress him up as Woody from Toy Story, but I admit that I did not want to pay that much for a costume that a--he probably would not have kept on that long, and b--he is still at the age where he could care less.  So, we went with a construction worker.  He is obsessed with all things construction, and we happened to have all of the goodies already available at home.   Plus, I am guessing that this is the last year that I get to decide what he is going to be : )

There are some police officers that live in this house, and they go all out at Halloween.  That creepy creature on the ground in front of him made noises, etc.

Knocking on Devin's door to ask him to go trick or treating....

Sweet baby girl....

Playin with bubby's truck quickly while he is not paying attention...

LOVE HER!!!  Look at those eyes......

P had a good time, but after a dozen or so houses he was over it.  He didn't understand why he couldn't just knock and then walk himself into peoples houses, but he eventually got the hang of it.  We headed home and P passed out candy to a few kiddos, and we called it a night.

As you can see, the princess went as herself.  Am I a mean momma for not dressing her up???  But...she was much happier and comfortable just sitting in her stroller and being held by daddy.  Overall, we had a good time as a little family of four, and look forward to it next year.  Trying to get a picture of them together again proves itself to be absolutely IMPOSSIBLE!!
