Lately...

It seems like everyday our little P man is saying something new.  He seems to have grown up so much in the last several months.  He will be 2 next week and sweet Hallie was four months last week (longer posts on their milestones later).  P man recently started to put phrases together instead of just saying one word.  One day his teacher kept hearing what she thought was "dumb a--", but it was really my sweet boy saying "Thomas" from Thomas the Train.  Haha.  Just say it real fast and you get the point.  I did say one bad word in the car one day and he immediately repeated it.  Therefore...I don't do that anymore  : ).  I think he really does love his sissy so much.  He will try to put the pacifier in her mouth, and he will just talk to her while they take a bath.  I try to kill two birds with one stone at bath time.  She is really starting to watch her big brother and smiles and "talks" to him all the time.   (all cell pics)

These are some pictures that I took of my dad's facebook page.  Yes...Big Dave has a facebook

For Mothers Day this year we pretty much did nothing...and it was fantastic.  Eric's fam moved to a different house (same area), so we all headed over there the Saturday before.  Big Dave and Dot Dot walked with Adisyn and Pierson to the park to play.  When they got back we ordered Pizza.  Adisyn was begging to take a bath with Pierson, and we went ahead and tossed Hallie into the mix as well.  Adisyn was holding on to her for dear life...ha.

Here are a few more random pics of our baby girl over the past few weeks....

With the weather getting a little nice over the past few weeks we have been spending more time outside...
P man loved eating popsicles with his buddy Devin across the street.  Um..look at P's belly in the below pic??..lol.

Eating some raspberries at Dot Dot's with Hayden..she didn't make the pic I guess....

We watched a storm roll in from the garage....

Pierson kept saying "thunder, thunder".  I have tried to not make a big deal out of it.  I tell him that it means "God is talking to us".  He always says "thunder outside, thunder outside".  He also insisted on putting the below on his head last night when he heard thunder...so funny!

Over Memorial Day weekend we didn't have a lot of plans.  We went to a birthday party for Emily at a pool, and Pierson did not love it.  It had a big bucket that dumped water and it scared him a little.  However, a couple days later we went to the pool with cousins and he really started to enjoy it more.  I have got to get this boy in swim lessons...

Sissy just watched!
I'll leave you with a picture of P with his new "big truck" that his cousins so nicely handed down to him.  He LOVES all of the trucks they give him.

First Zoo Trip

Pierson and Hallie made their first trip to the First Worth Zoo a couple Fridays ago.  Dot Dot and Big Dave treated us, and joined along.  I think that Dot Dot may have been more excited than anyone...hehe.  I took off on Friday and we drove over and met my parents there.  We were there right when they opened, and there was already a line, and a ton of school buses.  Luckily after we got in the door it wasn't too bad.  I think that Pierson might have been a little overwhelmed at first.  He loves watching older kids, but I think there was just too many for his liking.  Sorry for the picture overload.

Sweet Hallie behaved herself as well!!

It was a bit chilly on the morning we went...figures.  The weather was perfect the entire week, but it did turn out to be a beautiful day.

Riding the choo choo train with Big Dave.  P was just taking it all in.

Petting zoo....

I really think that P had a great time.  He would just stop and stare and take it all in....

Enjoying an ice cream treat....

This next group of pictures cracks me up.  Ha!

And....of course Dot Dot and Big Dave bought Pierson (who has absolutely no toys or stuffed animals) a new stuffed tiger.  I kept trying and trying to get him to buy the elephant...but it just didn't work.  Boo!!  We saw lots and lots of other animals of course.  Several weeks before the zoo Dot Dot was showing Pierson the noise and motions that a monkey makes.  So now...whenever you ask him what a monkey does...he lifts his arms up like a monkey and says "Dot Dot".  SO funny!

Thanks to Dot Dot and Big Dave for treating the family to the zoo.  I have always loved to the Fort Worth Zoo, but I think I might try the Dallas Zoo next time just so we can ride the Dart train down.  I think Pierson would love that.  Hopefully Hallie will have a little bit more fun next time.  : )  For the record, I believe P was asleep before we left the parking lot.
