Recent "Happenings"

There is a lot that has been going on in the Robert's household, but unfortunately I just haven't found the time recently to sit down in blog.  We found out in May that I was expecting #2.  I had a few minor complications at the beginning, so I waited until at least 12 weeks to start telling people.  I am currently about 15 1/2 weeks and this little peanut is due on January 30, 2013.  Little one will come at least a week early since I will be having another c-section.  Everything seems to be going smoothly, and we are excited to meet our little boy or girl.  I believe we will find out sometime around the beginning of September.  I have no idea how I am going to handle two children, because Pierson never sits still.  But, I keep telling myself that people do it everyday...so certainly I can to right??

12 week picture

Pierson actually got his first haircut the day of my parent's anniversary party (June 30, 2012).  My sweet cousin was in town, so she cut it for us at home.  She did such a good job, and surprisingly, little P man now needs another one.  Pierson looks like he is in pain in this picture, but I assure you he wasn't.  Jeremy videoed it, but this is the best pic we could get....on and excuse my lovely look.

Pierson's new favorite activities consist of throwing toys, hitting other kids with toys, jumping off of the couch, and rolling around when attempting to change a diaper...sigh.  He gets disciplined, but continues to turn around and do it again.  Surely, he will learn?  Now, when we tell him to stop doing something and walk towards him...he cringes knowing that he is about to get a "whoopin" on his hand or leg.  Some people always say their children are busy...but seriously you people don't know buy until you meet PBR.  This child is exhausting :), but oh soo cute.  We have been so blessed with this little monkey, but boy is he a wild man.  Sometimes backup has to be called in when changing a diaper.  He does not like it one bit....or I am thinking that it is because he actually has to sit still.

Around the middle of July, we transitioned Pierson into a new in-home day care.  We found her through a neighbor who takes all three of her kiddos there.  She is very sweet, and has a full time helper.  Pierson seems to have a good time there, and is down to one nap a day usually.  One day I picked him up and he had slept a grand total of 30 minutes all day...awesome!!.  It is so fun picking him up because he usually tries to run for me...which makes my day.  Remember those comments I made above about his new favorite activities...well here is a glimpse into my child's day  :)

Pierson tends to eat everything on his plate.  I hope it stays that way, but we will see.  He has not turned his nose up at anything.  I was hoping that he would turn his nose up at cantaloupe...but no such luck yet.  That might be the most disgusting thing ever.  UGH!!

About a month ago P went to stay at his JoJo's and Papaws.  When we arrived to pick him up...this is how we found him (excuse the mis matched clothing)

#1...this is extremely unusual for my child.  He has never ever sat still long enough to fall asleep on the couch.  Needless to say, when he woke up, he was burning up.  I think his fever was around 102.  It got close to 104 that night, so we paged Dr. Schwartz who told us there was a virus going around in kids with high fevers and nothing else.  His fever came down the next morning, but I stayed home with him to make sure he would be okay.  We had a few discussions about how to build things while he wore his construction hat he got for his birthday.

Little P man continued to get better but developed an ever so slight rash, which we are assuming was from the high fever.  About a week later he got an upper respiratory infection and put him on an antibiotic.  I can't remember if I blogged about it before, but the one other time we had him on an antibiotic he got a horrible diaper rash and his little booty looked like it was on fire.  We tried a different one this time, and his tush looked even worse.  So...maybe one day we will find one that works for him.  Bathing him was not an option because he couldn't sit in the bathtub.  So, the next day we gave him a "bath" in our little plastic pool outside and he loved it.

Here are a few pictures that were taken from either my phone or Jeremy's phone.

Think hes comfortable?
Breakfast with Daddy

Sitting in my big boy chair
Hanging out with Tank
Fell asleep with the gps in his mouth
Look how curly his hair is??  side note..this is not his bedroom

Our sweet boy is almost 15 months old, but I believe he is about the size of a two year old.  He really hasn't gained much weight lately, which I will attribute to him being so busy.  I know I talk about him being a wild man, but he truly has such a sweet nature about him, and we just love him to pieces.  He keeps us very busy.  If our next child is a boy...we might be in for some trouble :)
