Hallie Anne Roberts

Hallie Anne made her debut on January 23, 2013, which is also my mom's bday.  Its kind of cool, because P was born on my parents anniversary, and now Hallie has my mom's bday and her Uncle Michael's bday!.  Anyhow....it was a scheduled c-section, so Jeremy and I arrived at the hospital about 10am, and she was born at 12:33 pm weighing in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 20 inches long.  Basically she was TINY compared to P.  I realize she is a girl...but still...P was just such a big boy.  I actually didn't really get to hold or feed her until around 6 that night because her oxygen levels were a tad low and they kept her in the nursery to watch her.  Jeremy spent most of his time going back and forth between the nursery and my room.  I was of course a nervous wreck before the procedure.  After all...I HATE going to the dentist, so you can just imagine what a great patient I was before the procedure - ha!  I guess it was just different this time as I had time to actually think about the c-section.  Last time, it was a last minute decision and we just went with it, and I didn't really have time to think about it.

She looks JUST like P in this pic and the below pic!

We kept Pierson in school and then Alicia went and picked him up at brought him to the hospital.  He was not very excited to see me :(  I am telling myself it was because I was laying in a hospital bed with all kinds of things hooked up to me.  He really didn't get to see his "sissy" but through the nursery window that day.  My parents left with P and brought him to our house and stayed with him on Wednesday night and Thursday night and then he went to his JoJo's and Papaw's on Friday night until we got home on Saturday mid morning.  P came back up to the hospital on Thursday, and as you can see from the below pics he wasn't too thrilled to be there but did give his sister a kiss.  As a matter of fact he FLIPPED OUT when any nurse came in and cried when my doctor came in, but then gave him "knuckles".  I believe this is likely related to the fact that he has visited his own pediatrician numerous times in the past month.  We possibly have paid his mortgage payment this month.

Here are a few other pics from our stay at the hospital.

Little Hallie is now a little over three weeks old and I THINK that P is realizing that she is not going anywhere.  The week before she was born, P had the flu ( I think I blogged about that), and then the week she got home we passed around some sort of stomach issues to each other...then P got pink eye....then Jeremy got pink eye.....then P's ear infection got worse....then he got tubes.  We have had so. much. fun!!!!!  :)  On a positive note, I am now wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans (YEAH!), and I am not nearly as bloated as I look in the pics.  Next up...P gets tubes.

  1. Congrats! So happy for your family of 4! You delivered at one of my sister hospitals - I've heard great things about their unit over there.
