The day before we left the kids headed to my parent's house. The only thing Pierson cared about was that he got to spend "4 nights at Dot Dot and Big Dave's house".

Jeremy is like a kid on a plane. He brought no magazines, tablet or anything to do. He was going stir crazy!!
We were all a little bummed that the Carnegie Deli was closed.
Central Park was absolutely beautiful in early November. The colors were amazing.
The second day we took the Subway down to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. I believe this was the day that I also got stopped by Secret Service in our hotel because Jill Biden was about to walk by, and then quickly realized that she was staying about 3 rooms down from us.
The museum was amazing. From the outside it appears to be pretty small, but I believe it goes down 6 stories. We could have spent an entire day in there. There was so much to see!! We had tickets for 9am, and I am pretty certain we were the first people in the door.

I was shocked at some of the facts about the World Trade Center.
I took the below picture because I think Jeremy talked to this museum worker for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile the rest of us were waiting...haha. Jeremy LOVES to go to museums.
After we left we decided we would just start walking North towards mid-town, and when we got tired we would call a cab or take the subway. However, we never got a cab or took the subway...
Alyssa is in her second trimester and we quickly realized that using the bathroom in random restaurants you pass while walking down the street is a no no. My goodness, people would get so mad if you would ask to use the bathroom....and Alyssa had to go..a lot!!
That night we went and saw "A Gentlemen's Guide to Love & Murder" on Broadway. It was a really good show and there was on actor who played 8 different people in the show. During the intermission, Jeremy decided that he was going to go get a "drink" for he and Marty. $63 dollars later he came back with two drinks and some M&M's. Needless to say, I had a few words for him. In his defense, he had a "few" drinks before we got there. HA.
The following day we went down to Battery Park and went out to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I have been to New York a couple of times, but had never been to see it.
The below pictures if funny to me, because Jeremy really looks like a tourist with his massive backpack stuffed with all of our worldly possessions.
One of the days we were there, the tree was being brought in on a huge truck.
We had such a fun time while we were there. Of course, we missed our kiddos, but I am certain they did not miss us!
