Easter 2013

Pierson's school had an Easter egg hunt on the Thursday before, so I headed up to watch.  I won't lie...I was thinking "my boy better get the most".  Haha.  He actually did pretty good, but luckily they split the eggs up between the kiddos, so they can all take some home.  Each child was asked to bring twelve eggs for the hunt, which they split up between the entire school...not just his class.  Anyway, I stuffed ours with fruit snacks.  Pierson still has the same Easter basket that I bought him last year.  It was one of those that looked really cute on line and then when I got it...um it wasn't so cute.  I will order him and Hallie new ones for next year.  Here is my little man hunting eggs!!
He was pretty excited to see me when I first got there

On Saturday morning our neighborhood had a Easter egg hunt for the kiddos.  They section the areas off for the kids depending on their age.  Those eggs are gone in about one minute! My parents got there just in time to watch the hunt, and then we headed back to our house for some lunch (thanks Mom), and the kiddos got some goodies from my parents.  Hallie got some good ole' money for the college fund, and Pierson got a new swim outfit for the summer and some cars from Big Dave.

Hallie decided to not participate in the egg hung.  She chilled instead...

Pierson got a decent amount of eggs, but I chose to give the candy he got to an older child when he wasn't looking.  Does that make me mean?  I don't really care if he has sugar every now and then, but some of the candy he couldn't have eaten anyway.

Ready to drive daddy's truck back to the house.  Little did he know that he had no candy in those eggs!

After his nap, we went on a little afternoon stroll with Dot Dot and Big Dave and P saw his good buddy Devon.

I think they were checking out a kid riding a bicycle or scooter.

Sunday morning we got up and headed to Church.  We took Hallie into the service with us and she did very well!!  The Easter Bunny visited P and got him a few things and also got Sissy a teething toy.  Fun times!

Hopefully as the kiddos gets older we will be able to teach them exactly what Easter is truly all about!!
