10 Months

Pierson started walking just a little before ten months. There is no stopping him now. He continues to be into everything. He is so fascinated with doors, and anything that makes loud noises. He loves to shut and open doors, bang on windows and bang on the cable box upstairs. Pierson has already started to "test" his mommy and daddy. He knows he is not supposed to bang on the cable box, but turns around to make sure we are watching and then starts. The look on his face when he gets told "no" is so funny, that we both have to turn our heads. It is priceless....
He is just shy of 25 pounds and just as solid as you can get. I am so glad he can walk now because it is a bit of a chore just to carry him around. Jeremy and I did sit and watch him crawl up the stairs one day last week. However, no worries, Jeremy was right behind him as I caught it on video. The little dude also has a rather enjoyable time pulling all of the books off of the shelf in the office. Please see evidence below.

One day while at Stephanie's house, she was telling him not to do something and he walked over to her, and put his hand over her mouth, basically telling her to hush...lol. Such a proud moment in my son's life. We continue to feel blessed that P can stay with her Monday through Thursday. Although, I am not sure Emily (her little girl) feels the same. I believe he has started to get into all her toys. He does come home with bruises from time to time, so I feel certain that Emily lets him know who is boss. I also get random text messages throughout the day like "your child had his first bite of Oreo." This is not by choice, but I think he is a little thief :)

He has done well on whole milk and breast milk together. Therefore, I am officially one bag lighter these days. I quit pumping on March 30. This means I don't have to carry the beautiful black "purse" that has been by my side, attached to my hip since my sweet boy was born. I actually walked out of work the other day thinking I was missing something. So...no more reserving rooms at work to pump, trying to remember when I did it last, etc. I am a free woman :) It was a bit bittersweet. I know this may sound crazy to some, but it actually was a bit hard to quit. I probably still have about 300 ounces frozen, which should be plenty since he mainly drinks whole milk.

Pierson loves, loves, loves to be in our closet. If the door to our room is open, he proudly walks himself to the closet and starts to pull on the clothes, fall into them, etc. He thinks it is just too much fun!!

The below pic is so funny. Every once in awhile he will fall asleep right in the middle of drinking his sippy cup or eating his oatmeal (yes I still give him oatmeal at night time).

We took the little stinker to get his first pair of "real" shoes one day. We went to the Allen Outlet Mall to the Stride Rite store and got two pair of shoes for probably the price of one. My child is already wearing a size 5...about to be in a size 6. Sometimes I think it would be easier if they put shoelaces on those darn shoes...that velcro drives me bonkers. I think it has something to do with the fact that he knows how to pull his shoes off already. Side note--Notice the Nintendo shirt that J is wearing!

Pierson experienced his first trip to the park with his friend Devon across the street who is a couple months older.

Overall, I would say that the 10th month has been the best yet. Our little dude has developed quite the personality. We just love him to pieces. I know I have said this before, but I am not sure what I did with all my free time before he came along. Holy cow...we stay so busy with him. My poor house is neglected. I dream of the day it will be clean again....
